A Message From Principal

Vanakkam! I am Mrs. V. Subbulakshmi, the proud Principal and Founder of Chennai Kids and Smart Kids Academy.

My journey into education began not from a position of power, but from passion. Once a housewife, I took a small step into teaching as a part-time job—and that step soon turned into a lifelong calling.

From 1998 to 2003, I served as a school teacher in Mogappair, after which I spent a decade as an UCMAS course instructor in Nolambur. In 2013, with a heart full of dreams and a mind ready to take risks, I established my own center for extracurricular education offering Abacus, Phonetics, Hindi, Drawing, Tuitions, and more.

Over the past 27 years, I have had the privilege of guiding nearly 10,000 students. With academic roots in MSc Psychology and MA Tamil, and diplomas in Montessori, Archeology, and Epigraphy, I bring a blend of understanding, structure, and creativity into my teaching.

In 2016, I expanded into early childhood education by joining the KidZee franchise, and in 2024, I stepped forward once again to create my own brand Chennai Kids with the sole aim of offering quality education to children who truly seek it.
